Course Description

This course is a Mom's crash course in Latin! These 6 Online Sessions will cover the basic concepts that you will need to teach your children Latin in the elementary years. As an added bonus, if you register by June 4th, you will receive the PDF file of the Studium Latinae Workbook FREE (after that it is 9.95 from Lulu.com) The following are the lessons that will be developed this summer in the Online Class.

Main Concepts Covered in Level One:

Week 1 - How and Why Verbs Conjugate /The Moody Verb! Imperative Forms of Verbs
Week 2 - And really! Why in the world do Latin Nouns Have so many endings?! - The 1st Declension
Week 3 - 2nd Declension Nouns /How Adjectives 'get along' with nouns
Week 4 - More About the Genitive and Dative Cases / The Verb "To Be"
Week 5 - The 2nd Declension Neuter / Creating Little Stories in Latin

Materials Provided:

You will receive a PDF file of my workbook, Studium Latinae, containing exercises and easy translations, plus a Key!

Other materials you should acquire: A 3 ring binder with dividers, notebook paper, and pencils, and even some colored pencils for color-coding your nouns!

OPTIONAL for Reference:
Wheelock's Textbook - 6th ed (even earlier editions are ok), Henle Year One,
or
_Elements of Latin_ by Benjamin D'Ooge (This antique Latin text is available as a FREE download! It is also available in print with the title: _Latin Super Review_ Costing about $8)
